| ambulate | to walk |
| aspiration | very serious co ndition in which food, water, gastric contents, or other materials enter the trechea and lungs. |
| body alignment | postition of a human body in which the body can properly function |
| contracture | permanate shortening or contractions of a muscle due to immobility, spasm, or paralysis |

| Transfer | procedure followed when changing a patient's location |
| Trochanter roll | rolled shhet or bath blanket placed under the patient extending from waist to mid-thigh; postiond against the hip to prevent lateral hip rotation |
