ANXIETY DISORDER a lump in the throat, butterflies in stomach, rapid pulse, and sweating. This comes from a stressor. (new job, death)
OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER A recurrent idea and repeating an act over and over again. Washing hands, cleaning, counting things to a certain number
POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER Startles easily, irritable, problems sleeping, triggers repeats the events. anger issues eg. ( veteran of war, frequent pregnancies)
SCHIZOPHRENIA Split mind, false beliefs, sees and hearing voice, paranoia, belief that someone is out to get them. Belief that they are the president of the US. eg. (God told me to kill all dwarfs)
BIPOLAR DISORDER Increase energy, irritable, aggressive behavior, then period of sadness, loss of interest in everything, suicidal. eg. (happy for 1 week, then sad for 2 weeks)
MAJOR DEPRESSION Fatigue, lack of interest, slow memory, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, weight loss, withdrawal from people eg. Stays in room for 3 weeks, no bath, not eating or talking to others)
ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER Thinking and behavior have no regard for right or wrong. Poor judgment, lack of responsibility. The person lies, cons others for personal gain. No guilt, and does not learn from punishment.eg ( criminal behavior)
PHOBIA intense fear of an object, situation, or activity.eg. Claustrophobia (fear close spaces), pyrophobia (fear of fire)
