T.P.A.C.K. | Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. How to increase student motivation while also making more content AND better content available to the student. |
Technological | How do you deliver the educational content to the students. Partners with Pedagogical to support the Content |
Pedagogical | The "methodology" of teaching. Knowing how to control classrooms, plan lessons, understand and know the content of the lesson, student assessment. |
Content | What you going to teach. The content is the information and knowledge the teacher is giving to the students. the content is supported by the Technological and Pedagogical |
Knowledge | What you know. your entire life you have collected, analysed, assembled and accumulated information, also know as knowledge. What is it? |
Technology + Pedagogical Overlap | How we make the Content more accessible. knowing the strengths and weaknesses of technology so the teacher can choose appropriately to use or not use a tech. |
Technology + Content Overlap | How we pair technology with the content. What technology is going to benefit the student the most depending on the content being taught? |
Pedagogical + Content Overlap | How to teach the content. The entire methodology of instruction the teacher knows, combined with the content that is to be taught. |
"The Sweet Spot" | If Technology, Pedagogical, and Content form a three circle ven-diagram. then the "Sweet Spot" is the middle where all three aspects all intersect and learning is optimal. |
Context | TPACK is a vendiagram, Context is the giant circle around it all. The students, the school building, the teacher, the faculty. There is no standard "recipe" for TPACK. Context is the outside factors that effect the TPACK |
Who Owns TPACK | Nobody. It's a organic idea that the teaching/learning relationship is always changing and evolving. |
