Breast Cancer | development of malignant tumors in the breast |
Cervical Cancer | malignancy of the cervix. the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in women |
Endometriosis | the presence of functional endometrial tissue outside the uterus |
Menopause | the period of life leading to permanent cessation of menstruation |
Ovarian Cancer | malignant tumors in the ovaries; the second most common gynecologic cancer but it accounts for more deaths than any other gynecologic malignancy |
Ovarian Cysts | fluid-filled sacs within the ovary |
Premenstrual Syndrome | a cluster of symptoms that occur 3 to 14 days before menstruation and are relieved by its onset |
Prostate Cancer | malignancy of the prostate gland. the most common cancer in the United States (approximately 240,890 cases in 2011) and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men |
Uterine Cancer | malignancy of the uterus, the most common gynecologic cancer and accounts for 6% of all cancers in women |
Benign prostatic hyperplasia | Enlarged prostate gland presses on proximal end of urethra, causing difficulty starting urine stream, weak stream, urinary frequency and urgency, stopping and starting, incomplete bladder emptying, blood in urine; common with advancing age |
Dysmenorrhea | Painful menstruation; primary, with no known pelvic cause; secondary to endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) |
Fibroid tumors | Common, often asymptomatic benign growths of uterine smooth muscle tissue, projecting into uterine cavity (submucosal fibroids) or outside uterus toward other organs (subserosal fibroids) |
Testicular cancer | Most common cancer in American males age 15–34; more than 95% of men diagnosed with testicular cancer survive the disease |
