Think Win-Win
| Term | Definition |

| Win-Lose | You're always trying to be better than people, high on courage and low on consideration. For example, "I'm going to beat you no matter what." |
| Lose- Win | You're insecure, low on courage and high on consideration. For example, "I always get stepped on." |
| Lose-Lose | If you can't wins, no one wins. You get revenge. For example, "If i'm going down, you're going down with me." |
| Win-Win | You're willing to walk away before someone loses, including yourself. For example, "We're going to win together." |
| Emotional Bank Account | When you do something that helps the relationship, that's a deposit. When you do something that hurts the relationship, that's a withdraw. |
| Do Small Acts of Kindness | A second deposit is to treat people with kindness. |
| Keep Promises | Nothing bankrupts the EBA faster than breaking a serious promise. |
| Keep Confidences | When someone shares something with you in confidence, keep it that way. |
| Be Loyal to the Absent | Avoid gossip or backbiting. |
| Set Clear Expectations | Don't leave things fuzzy. |
| Apologize | If you're in the wrong, admit it now. |
| Forgive | Learn to forgive and to forget so that you don't keep hurting yourself the way you were hurt. |
