Achromatopsia Partial or complete color blindness due to little or no function of cone cells or damage to the occipitotemporal areas
Agnosia Inability to recognize familiar objects or sounds
Akathisia Inability to sit/stand still; restlessness
Akinesia Compete or total loss of movement
Anomia Type of Aphasia; inability to recall names of familiar objects
Anosognosia Failure to recognize one's own neurological symptoms
Aphasia Disturbance in previously acquired language skills
Apraxia Inability to carry out purposeful movements despite in tact muscle power and control
Asomatognosia Inability to recognize parts of one's own body
Ataxia Clumsiness, lack of balance and coordination
Athetosis Slow involuntary movements
Bradykinesia Slowness of movement
Chorea Irregular, involuntary, jerking movements; usually of the face, limbs, and trunk
Dyskinesia Abnormal muscle movement, twitching, jerking (chorea, tics, tremors)
Dysprosody Disturbance in pitch and rhythm of speech
Paresthesia Altered sensation of skin causes tingling or numbness
Prosopagnosia Inability to recognize familiar faces
Synesthesia Stimulation of one sense triggers sensation of other sense
Tardive dyskinesia Repetitive facial grimaces, jerky movements; extrapyramidal
