Privy Council | Body that acts as advisors to the head of state. |
Patronage | Financial, or encouraging aid that one group bestows on another |
Lobbyists | An activist paid by an interest group to promote their interests to legislatures |
Free Vote | a type of vote when a legislative body is allowed to vote from individual interests or personal conscience. |
Order-In-Council | A law that is passed without a vote from parliament, and is given assent from the governor general. |
Cabinet Solidarity | The system that all members of cabinet must support the cabinets decisions. |
Campaigning | When a politician uses an organized effort to gather public favour and influence. |
