movement: adduction | moving medially (adding to body) |
movement: abduction | moving laterally, away from body |
movement: flexion | bring in closer to keep joint tighter together |
movement: dorsiflexion | moving ankle so back of foot (dorsal) side moves up |
movement: plantar flexion | moving ankle so foot moves toward plantar side (bottom) |
movement: pronation | turning hand down toward ground |
movement: supination | turning hand up as if holding a soup bowl |
movement: extension | moving knee so leg is stretched outward from body. (or arm) |
movement: inversion | turning foot so plantar surface faces in, medially, toward body |
movement: eversion | turning foot outwards so plantar surface faces laterally, away from body |
movement: circumduction | circular movement of hips or shoulders |
movement: scapula, lateral | holding arm up so scapula moves laterally |
movement: scapula, neutral | arm at side, "resting" position of scapula |
movement: scapula, medial | arm downward moving medially against back |
movement: scapula anterior tilt | rolling shoulders forward |
