Thoracic Cavity | surrounded by the ribs and muscles of the chest; subdivided into two other parts |
Mediastinum | contains the pericardial cavity and also surrounds the remaining thoracic organs; esophagus, trachea, etc |
Vertebral aka Spinal Cavity | runs within the bony vertebral column, encloses the spinal cord; part of the dorsal cavity |
Abdominopelvic Cavity | separated from the thoracic cavity by the diaphragm; two parts abdominal and pelvic cavities |

Pelvic Cavity | lies in the bony pelvis; contains the bladder, some reproductive organs, and the rectum |
