nasalis compresses bridge and depresses tip of nose; elevates corners of nostrils
buccinator compresses cheek, holds food between teeth during chewing
masseter elevates and protracts mandible; prime mover of mandible elevation
medial pterygoid elevates and protracts mandible; produces side to side movement of mandible
lateral pterygoid protracts mandible; produces side-to-side movement of mandible
temporalis elevates and retracts mandible
mentalis protudes lower lip, wrinkles chin (pout)
