Orbicularis oculi | Sphincter that circles the eye and closes the eye |
Orbicularis oris | Sphincter that circles and puckers the lips |
Temporalis | Located superficially, over, the temporal bone, it closes the mouth |
Zygomaticus major | Originates at the zygomatic bone and raises the corner of the mouth |
Sternocleidomastoid | Originates from manubrium and clavicle, it flexes and rotates the head |
Manubrium | Bone above the sternum is top of the breast bone |
Origin | Part of the skeletal muscle that is attached to a fixed bone. |
Insertion | End of the skeletal muscle that attaches to the bone that is moved. |
