Abnormal

TermDefinition
fever elevated body temperature
malignant hyperthermia inherited condition characterized by an abnormally increased body temperature and muscle rigidity when a person is exposed to certain anesthetics
heat stroke life-threatening condition characterized by high body temperature; failure of thermoregulatory mechanisms to maintain homeostasis in a VERY warm external environment
heat exhaustion condition cause by fluid loss resulting from activity of thermoregulatory mechanisms in a warm external environment
hypothermia failure of thermoregulatory mechanisms to maintain homeostasis in a very cold external environment
frostbite local tissue damage caused by extreme cold
