atria 2 superior chambers of heart, where blood returns to heart
ventricles 2 inferior chambers of heart, where blood is pumped from L & R atria into L & R ventricles
pulmonary circulation on R side of heart; carries blood to lungs for gas exchange and then returns it to heart
systemic circulation L side of heart; supplies blood to other organs in body
systole contraction of heart; used mainly in VENTRICULAR contraction
diastole relaxtion of heart; usually refers to ventricular diastole
