Name the dorsal body cavities and the specific locations within quadrants where organs reside. Dorsal: Consists of Cranial and Spinal cavities Cranial-Head--houses the brain: protected by skull Spinal-the spine of body..protected by vertebrae

Ventral: Thoracic, Diaphragm, Abdominopelvic cavity Thoracic- Superior to diaphragm: house of heart lungs..protected by ribcage Diaphragm- Inferior to thoracic cavity Abdominopelvic cavity- inferior to diaphragm: consisting of two parts
What two parts are in the Abdominopelvic cavity Superior abdominal cavity: contains the stomach, liver, and other organs -Protected only by trunk muscles Inferior pelvic cavity: reproductive organs, bladder, and rectum -Protected somewhat by bony pelvis Nothing separates the two.
What are the four quadrants in the Abdominopelvic cavity? Right upper quadrant (RUQ) Left upper quadrant (LUQ) Right lower quadrant (RLQ) Left lower quadrant (LLQ)
