the ends of the sarcomeres are called z-lines (disc)
the light band i band, consists of actin
dark central region in each sarcomere a band, extends the length of the myosin
the center of each sarcomere theres another light area called h-zone, consist of only myosin
the myosin myofilaments are anchored in the center of a sarcomere at a dark staining band called m-line
