Pelvic Wall & Abdominals

Pelvic Wall | Piriformis, Pelvic Floor |
Piriformis | Laterally rotates the extended high or abducts the flexed thigh. |
Pelvic Floor | Ischiococcygeus and Pubococcygeus aka Kegel Muscles |
Abdominals | Transverse, Rectus, Internal & External Obliques |
Transverse Abdominals | Helps compress the ribs and viscera, providing thoracic and pelvic stability. |
Internal Obliques | When contracted it rotates and side-bends the trunk. |
External Obliques | Pulls the chest downwards and compresses the abdominal cavity. |
Rectus Abdominis | Flexes the Spine |
