Proximal Toward the trunk
Vissceral Toward an internal orgran; away from the outer wall
Deep Toward the inside of a part; away from the surface
Pariteal Toward the wall; away from the internal structures
Medullary An inner regionl; or medulla
Cortical An outer region, or cortex
Anterior Toward the front of the body
Posterior Toward the back of the body
Dorsal Along the vertebral surface of the body
Ventral Along the belly surface of the body
Medial Toward the midsagittal plane; away from the side
