What is medial? towards the midline

what are the three muscle tissues? skeletal, smooth and cardiac
what are the 5 layers of skin? stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum luciddum, stratum corneum
what are the 5 roles main of skeletal tissue? Support, protection, movement, mineral storage, and hematopoiesis
What is hematopoiesis? The formation of blood cells by red marrow (myeloid tissue).
What are the 3 types of bone cells? osteoblasts, osteoclasts, osteocytes
what are the 3 types of cartilage? hyaline, elastic and fibrocartilage
what is the most abundant cartilage? Hyaline
what is the parathyroid hormone? primary regulator of calcium homeostasis
what are the divisions of the skeleton? axial (80 bones) and appendicular (126 bones)
