What is the function of the proteasome? Breakdown abnormal and misfolded proteins released from the ER
These organelles pinch off from the SER and detoxify harmful substances that may enter cells Peroxisomes
What is the function of the nucleolus? Synthesizes ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and combines it with protein to form the subunits that will later combine to form ribosomes
