what are the two system of the autonomic nervous system? sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).
The SNS is resposible for what action? fight or flight! (increases heart rare for more o2, pupil dilate, blood to intestinal organs slow down.
The PNS is resposible for what action? Digestion and relaxation. Lowers heart rate, stimulate digestion, and conserve energy
How many divisions are there in the brain? six
What are the sensory cranial nerves? olfactory nerve, optic nerve, oculomotor nerve, trochlear nerve, trigeminal nerve, abducens nerve, facial nerve, vestibulocochlear nerve, glossopharyngeal nerve, vagus nerve, accessory nerve, hypoglossal nerve
interferon inhibits the spread of? viruses and cancer
The anterior pituitary gland secretes which hormones? Growth, adrenocorticotropic, thyroid-stimulating, prolactin, luteinizing, and follicle hormones
The posterior pituitary gland secretes which hormones? antidiuretic and oxytocin hormones
