Gastrin hormone that increases the rate of digestion and stimulate peristalsis to push food
mucosa lining innermost layer of the digestive tract composed of mucous membrane. It produces mucus to protect the stomach lining from gastric acid.
uvula mall, fleshy, conical structure hanging down from the soft palate at the back of the mouth. It helps prevent food from entering the nasal cavity during swallowing.
