pectoral located on the anterior chest wall and contains several muscles that are important for upper body
scapular a flat, triangular bone that connects the upper arm bone (humerus) to the collarbone (clavicle)
abdominal the part of the body between the chest and hips that contains many of the body's organs
pelvic the part of the body located below the abdomen and between the hip bones
inguinal the area of the body that includes the lower part of the anterior abdominal wall and the junctional crease between the front of the thigh
pudendal the external genital organs or the region where they are located
thoracic the anatomy of the chest, or thorax, which is the area of the body between the neck and abdomen
lumbar the lower section of the spine, or backbone, that's located between the thoracic spine and the sacral spine
sacroiliac the connection between the spine and pelvis, where the sacrum and ilium meet
gluteal the area of the body that is located behind the pelvic girdle and at the top of the femur
femoral refers to the anatomy of the femur, which is the thigh bone
patellar the largest sesamoid bone in the human body, located at the front of the knee joint
popliteal a diamond-shaped space behind the knee joint
crural relating to the leg or thigh, or a leg-like structure
malleolar the bony prominences on either side of the ankle that form the ankle joint's borders
tarsal the seven bones that make up the hindfoot and midfoot of the human foot
dura mater the tough, outermost layer of the meninges that covers and protects the brain and spinal cord
vertebral the structure of the vertebral column, also known as the spine or backbone
thoracic the anatomy of the chest, or thorax, which is the area of the body between the neck and abdomen
pleura a thin layer of tissue that covers the lungs and lines the chest cavity, protecting and cushioning the lungs
abdominopelvic a large space in the body that contains the abdominal and pelvic cavities
peritoneum a serous membrane that lines the abdominal cavity and covers the abdominal organs
respiratory tract he organs that are involved in breathing
urinary tract a system of organs that produces urine and removes it from the body
digestive tract a series of organs that break down food and liquids into nutrients that the body can use for energy, growth, and tissue repair
mucosa the mucus lining of all organs that have to do with digestive and respitory
