cell membrane - structure membrane composed of protein and lipid molecules
ribosomes - structure particles composed of protein and RNA molecules
endoplasmic reticulum - structure complex of interconnected membrane-bounded sacs and canals
vesicles - structure membranous sacs
golgi apparatus - structure stack of flattened, membranous sacs
mitochondria - structure membranous sacs with inner paritions
lysosomes - structure membranous sacs
cell membrane - function maintains integretiy of cell and controls passage of materials into and out of cell
ribosomes - function synthesize proteins
endoplasmic reticulum - function transports materials within the cell, provides attachment for ribosomes, and synthesizes lipids
vesicles - function contain and transport various substances
golgi apparatus - function packages protein molecules for transport and secretion
mitochondria - function releases energy from nutrient molecules and change energy into a usable form
lysosomes - function houses enzymes that break down nutrients ingested materials, worn out cell parts, toxins, drugs, and cholesterol (in some cells)
perozisomes - structure membranous sacs
microfilaments - structure thin rods and tubules
mictrotubules - structure thin rods and tubules
centrosome - structure nonmembranous structure composed of two rodlike centrioles
