Olfactory Nerve I - bipolar neurons - CHEMORECEPTORS - Axons pass through cribiform plate of ethmoid - SYNAPSE at olfactory bulb - ONLY SENSE THAT DOESN'T PASS THROUGH THALAMUS - 2 olfactory bulbs, divided by cristi galli
Optic Nerve II - Sensory Nerve - PHOTORECEPTORS - Cross at optic chiasma
Oculomotor III - Produce extrinsic and intrinsic movements of eyeball - Innervates all eye muscles except 2 (Superior rectus, medial rectus, inferior rectus, inferior oblique, levator palpebra (to raise eyelid) - Ciliar muscles control movement of pupil
